PRC Sanction Performance Indicator

As one of the Provider Report Card Performance Indicators, Sanctions provides cumulative performance data to providers and identify opportunities and challenges to providing high quality services to people with disabilities in the District.

The sanctions DDA considers under this indicator are Enhanced Monitoring, the Watch List and the Do Not Refer List. If your organization has received any of these sanctions at any time during the time period specified in the Report Card, it is indicated in this section.

Person-Centered Thinking

Person-centered thinking is a philosophy behind service provision that supports positive control and self-direction of people’s own lives. DDS is working to implement this through training sessions and other agency wide initiatives.

Employment First Initiative

Under the Employment First philosophy, competitive, integrated employment is the first and overwhelmingly preferred option for working-age youth and adults with disabilities.
