Partnership between the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE), schools, and parent and family members is critical to the success of the DC’s State Education Plan. The 2016 Parent and Family Engagement Summit is the third annual meeting giving parents and families the chance to learn more about and provide input on the State Education plan. It is important to recognize the needs of all children and to examine how well the State Education Plan is addressing these needs. Please come out and let your voice be heard. Breakfast and lunch provided. Guest Speaker: Dr. Alvin Thornton, Howard University.
Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. Summit will begin at 9 a.m. Learn more at: http://tinyurl.com/ParentSummit16 or contact: Trinika Snowder at (202) 741-5311 or [email protected].
