To help determine a person’s rehabilitation needs and to help prepare them for employment RSA partners with qualified service providers throughout the Washington metropolitan area to provide an array of vocational rehabilitation-related services including:
- Assessments and Evaluations
- Physical and Mental restoration Services
- Assistive Aids and Devices
- Interpreter and Reader Services
- Vocational and Other Training Services
- Transportation
- Personal Assistance Services
- Supported Employment Services, and
- Job Placement Services
Individuals will be given information, or assistance in acquiring the information to make an informed choice with respect to services needed to achieve the employment outcome, the vendors that can provide the services, employment setting and settings in which the services will be provided, and the methods available for procuring the services. To ensure that the availability and scope of informed choice is consistent, the information must include, at a minimum, information relating to the following:
- Cost, accessibility, and duration of potential services;
- To the extent available, consumer satisfaction with proposed services;
- Qualifications of potential service providers;
- The degree to which the services are provided in integrated settings; and
- To the extent available, outcomes achieved by individuals working with service providers; 34 C.F.R. § 361.52
